Born and raised in Maine, I fiercely believe nothing beats the Maine coast (during the 3 months it’s actually nice outside), but I also left a piece of my heart in the beautiful mountains of southwest Virginia during my years around graduate school. I love that a virtual practice lets me keep one foot in the pines and the other in the Commonwealth.

I'm a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) providing private-pay online therapy for adults in Maine and Virginia. My work is a good fit for adults who are used to managing a lot but find themselves overwhelmed, stuck in their own heads, or caught in patterns of perfectionism, people-pleasing, and difficulty setting boundaries, whether that shows up as anxiety, chronic stress, or just plain exhaustion. I especially enjoy working with women navigating the complicated mix of work, relationships, family, and the expectations they place on themselves.

Authenticity is one of my top priorities in therapy sessions. I show up as a real person (imperfections and all), not someone who is overly scripted or clinical. I truly hope to create a space where you feel comfortable to do the same. Humor and sarcasm are a lifeline of mine and often find their way into sessions... when appropriate, of course.

Each person is different, so there is no cookie-cutter way to approach therapy. While I draw from various evidence-based models, what that really looks like in practice is curiosity, honest conversation, and a collaborative space where we work toward your goals.

I work solely online to make attending sessions more flexible and sustainable for your schedule. I am part of A Happier Tomorrow Counseling Services, LLC and hold full clinical licenses in Maine (LCSW #LC14170) and Virginia (LCSW # 0904007633). I am also registered to provide virtual sessions to those in Florida and South Carolina (gotta keep things seamless for my snowbirds heading south for some sunshine!).
