Online Therapy in Virginia
Finding the right therapist can be difficult when you are already managing work, relationships, family responsibilities, and the demands of everyday life. I provide online therapy for adults in Virginia who are experiencing anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, low mood, relationship difficulties, or a sense that the way they have been managing things is no longer working.
What Brings People to Therapy
Many people come to therapy when they realize that stress, worry, or emotional strain has started affecting the way they move through everyday life.
You might be:
Feeling overwhelmed by competing demands at work, home, or in your relationships
Having a hard time quieting your thoughts or getting out of your own head
Putting a lot of pressure on yourself or feeling like you should always be doing more
Struggling to say no, ask for what you need, or set limits with other people
Feeling disconnected from yourself or unsure of what you actually want
Noticing changes in your mood, patience, motivation, or ability to enjoy things
Getting caught in recurring relationship patterns that leave you frustrated or drained
Going through a period of change, uncertainty, loss, or a shift in what matters to you
Sometimes there is a specific problem you want help with. Other times, you know you're not feeling like yourself but aren't quite sure what needs to change. Therapy can be a place to slow things down, sort through what's happening, and begin to understand what is getting in the way.
How online therapy works:
Sessions are conducted virtually through secure video, allowing you to access therapy from wherever you are in Virginia.
I offer private-pay therapy at $150 for a 50-minute session. I do not participate with insurance panels, although HSA/FSA funds may be used and a superbill is available upon request.
What we can work on:
Therapy will look different depending on what brings you in and what you want to get from it. Our work may include:
Managing anxiety, chronic stress, and low mood
Breaking cycles of overthinking and rumination
Communicating your needs and setting boundaries
Working through perfectionism and people-pleasing
Navigating difficult relationship dynamics
Understanding patterns shaped by past experiences
Building practical skills for managing difficult emotions
Working through life transitions and difficult decisions
Who I work with:
I work with high-functioning adults who are capable, responsible, and used to handling a lot on their own. They may be doing well in many areas of life while still dealing with anxiety, chronic stress, relationship difficulties, or a sense that the way they’ve been managing things isn’t working as well anymore.
You may be the person others rely on, while finding it harder to identify what you need or make changes for yourself. Therapy can help you understand these patterns and find more effective ways of responding.
I provide online therapy to adults throughout Virginia, so you can meet with me from the privacy of your own space without traveling to an office.
Getting Started
If you're considering therapy, the first step is a free 20-minute phone or video consultation. We can talk about what has been going on, what you're looking for, and whether working together feels like a good fit.
I am currently accepting new Virginia clients.
